Difference between lavender and lavandin?
Lavender and lavandin are two different varieties belonging to the same family. Lavender is the older variety. There are several varieties of lavender of which the most widespread are lavender angustifolia and lavender aspic. These two varieties crossed naturally and created lavandin, which was selected for its ability to adapt to all altitudes and its productivity, which is 4 to 5 times higher than any other lavender variety.
